Responsibilities

• Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to ensure on-time deliveries across over-the-road (OTR) routes and local routes.
• Load and unload freight, managing logistics cargo handling with precision while ensuring compliance with hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods.
• Transport refrigerated trailers and other specialized equipment for temperature-sensitive freight, maintaining proper handling procedures at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking for hazardous materials compliance and ensuring the truck is in optimal condition for operation.
• Load and secure cargo properly, utilizing manual handling techniques to prevent damage or accidents during transit.
• Deliver goods to designated locations, providing excellent customer service while adhering to route schedules and delivery protocols.

Skills

• Proven experience with commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving in various environments.
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards related to truck driving.
• Skilled in operating different types of trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks with manual transmission proficiency.
• Expertise in using GPS navigation tools for efficient route planning and real-time navigation adjustments.
• Ability to handle logistics cargo handling tasks including load & unload operations safely and effectively.
• Experience with refrigerated trailers and transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials when required.
• Excellent manual handling skills for truck loading/unloading processes while maintaining safety protocols.

Pay: $25.55 - $30.77 per hour
