Job summary

To ensure the safety and efficient transport of staff, clients, or passengers along designated routes. Responsibilities include performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, obeying traffic laws, and keeping accurate travel logs

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

• Drive staff or clients safely to and from pick-up points and designated destinations.
• Follow national and state road safety laws and practice defensive driving.
• Conduct daily checks on oil, water, tires, and brakes before starting any trip.
• Spot mechanical issues early and report needed repairs to management.
• Ensure the interior and exterior of the bus remain tidy
• Help passengers with boarding, luggage, or seating when required

Requirements:

• Minimum of SSCE or basic literacy to read road signs and complete logbooks
• Possess a valid Nigerian Driver’s License (and a Lagos State LASDRI card if working in Lagos)
• Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience, specifically with large commercial buses like Toyota Coasters
• Demonstrate strong familiarity with major regional roads, local traffic patterns, and navigation tools
• Know how to operate both manual and automatic transmission large vehicles
• Pass a physical fitness and medical test suited for commercial drivers.
