Responsibilities

• Safely operate delivery vans and commercial vehicles to transport goods to various locations
• Plan efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload cargo, often requiring heavy lifting, with attention to proper handling procedures
• Communicate clearly with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues promptly
• Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety and maintenance standards are met
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and inventory records
• Assist in warehouse activities as needed, including organizing shipments and preparing goods for dispatch

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or van driver in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safe driving practices
• Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and team members
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during loading and unloading processes
• Warehouse experience is a plus for understanding inventory handling procedures
• Demonstrated ability to follow detailed routes, schedules, and safety protocols
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with heavy lifting is advantageous
