Duties

• Safely operate various types of vehicles, including vans and flatbed trucks, to deliver goods across designated routes.
• Load, unload, and secure cargo efficiently, ensuring items are protected during transit.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections to identify mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance or report repairs as needed.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or delays.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate pickups and drop-offs, ensuring smooth logistical flow.
• Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws diligently to guarantee personal safety and that of others on the road.
• Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally during deliveries and addressing client inquiries when appropriate.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver with a strong understanding of safe driving practices.

• Skilled in driving various vehicle types, including vans and flatbed trucks, with a clean driving record.

• Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues.

• Previous warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding loading/unloading procedures.

• Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and interact professionally with customers.

• Familiarity with safety regulations related to commercial driving and cargo securement standards.

• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting packages, securing loads, and standing for extended periods.
