Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight, including refrigerated trailers, hazardous materials, and various cargo types across designated routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route navigation, and cargo handling will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations. Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker trucks, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations
• Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure accurate and timely deliveries across over-the-road (OTR) driving routes
• Load and unload freight safely using manual handling techniques and proper equipment, ensuring cargo integrity and security
• Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods following hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and cargo logs in compliance with logistics procedures
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any route or cargo issues promptly

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving, route driving, or freight transportation
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and tractor-trailers
• Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including manual handling techniques for cargo handling
• Understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA standards, and hazardous materials regulations for safe transportation of dangerous goods
• Experience with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time navigation adjustments
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL), with endorsements as required for specific cargo types such as hazmat or tanker vehicles
• Prior experience in over-the-road (OTR) routes preferred but not mandatory for entry-level drivers willing to learn
