Duties

• Operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
• Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely delivery across over-the-road (OTR) driving routes
• Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety and compliance with hazardous materials regulations when applicable
• Transport goods safely while managing hazardous or dangerous goods according to hazardous materials regulations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and cargo to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in compliance with DOT regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or issues encountered during transit

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving within logistics operations
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and automobile transportation is highly desirable
• Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, freight handling, and cargo securing techniques
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat) preferred
• Experience operating manual transmission trucks is a plus
• Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, and hazardous materials regulations governing truck driving operations
• Ability to handle manual tasks related to load & unload processes safely and efficiently

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
