Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our logistics team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight, equipment, and goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route navigation, and cargo handling will help us maintain excellent service levels and operational efficiency. We are a small company, and are offering a very flexible position. Expected weekly hours can range from 30-50 depending on your desired work load. We are looking for someone that wants to grow with the team and open the door for future management positions as we grow.

Duties

• Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing fuel usage.
• Load and unload cargo with proper manual handling techniques or equipment such as forklifts, ensuring secure placement of hazardous or fragile goods.
• Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and other safety standards during transportation and cargo handling.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any route or cargo issues promptly.

Qualifications.

• Experience with GPS navigation systems and logistics cargo handling equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks.
• Ability to load & unload freight manually or using appropriate machinery while following safety procedures.
• Excellent driving record with a focus on safety compliance and risk management.
