Driver

The Consulate-General of the Republic of Singapore in Hong Kong is recruiting a Driver to be an integral part of the Consulate-General’s daily operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in representing Singapore's diplomatic presence by providing safe, punctual, and professional chauffeuring services for the members of the Consulate-General and visiting delegations from Singapore. The role also requires the candidate to maintain accurate vehicle records and coordinate regular maintenance, while assisting with simple office administrative tasks, when not required to drive. This is a role suited to a reliable and professional individual who takes pride in delivering reliable support to the Singapore Consulate-General.

Main Job Responsibilities:
Chauffeur members of the Consulate-General and visiting delegations from Singapore for official trips as and when assigned, including after office hours and sometimes on weekends/public holidays;

Dispatch and collect documents/items as and when assigned;

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the exterior and interior of the official vehicles of the Consulate-General;

Maintain proper records of journeys in the respective Vehicle Logbook

Report to Consul (Admin & Consular) of any incidents and/or faulty part(s) of the official vehicles;

Send official vehicles of the Consulate-General for regular maintenance, ad-hoc repairs and cleaning as instructed by Consul (Admin & Consular).

Other Responsibilities:
Assist to collect daily mails, goods and parcels received by Mission

Assist in Bank-In of daily revenue/cheques as and when required;

Assist with Mission’s receptions/events as and when required; and

Any other duties as assigned by the Head of Mission and supervisors

Job Requirements:
Possess a valid driving licence for driving private car in Hong Kong with no accident record.

At least 5 years of experience in a professional driving capacity for either diplomatic missions, government agencies, private companies, hotels, or other hospitality establishments where a high standard of professionalism and discretion is expected. Candidates with experience chauffeuring senior officials, executives, or VIP guests will have an advantage.

Familiar with Hong Kong roads, traffic laws and regulations

Able to remain calm and composed under pressure. Candidates should be punctual, reliable, and presentable, with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to exercise discretion.

Strong attention to details and good at keeping and updating records

Minimum of Secondary-school education

Able to communicate in fluent English and Cantonese. Basic Chinese is an advantage.

Employment Terms:
Starting monthly pay of HKD 15,500 to HKD 19,000 depending on experience (this excludes overtime pay and meal allowances)

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 0900-1730 hrs, and willing to work after office hours, on weekends and public holidays, when required
