Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our logistics team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight, including refrigerated trailers, hazardous materials, and various cargo types across diverse routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving and adherence to safety regulations will ensure timely deliveries and excellent service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to operate different types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Duties

• Safely operate refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other commercial vehicles over long-distance OTR (Over the Road) routes.
• Navigate using GPS systems to ensure efficient and timely deliveries across multiple locations.
• Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, ensuring cargo is secured according to logistics cargo handling standards.
• Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials.
• Document delivery details accurately, including load & unload records, delivery confirmations, and route logs.
• Maintain a professional demeanor while delivering freight safely and efficiently in accordance with all safety protocols.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat), tanker, or other specialized loads preferred.
• Proven experience in truck driving, especially with freight delivery and route driving in various vehicle types such as tractor-trailers or refrigerated trucks.
• Knowledge of manual transmission operation and experience with manual handling of cargo.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time navigation adjustments.
• Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety procedures related to dangerous goods transportation.
• Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance in commercial driving environments.
• Physical ability to handle manual tasks associated with freight handling and vehicle inspections.

Pay: $25.65 - $30.89 per hour
