Care Staff Transport Driver

About the role

We are looking for reliable, responsible and friendly Care Staff Transport Drivers to join our team and provide safe and dependable transport for our care staff to and from work.

You will be responsible for collecting care staff from agreed pick-up points and transporting them safely to their workplace, as well as collecting them after their shifts and taking them home.

We provide company cars and vans, so you do not need to have your own vehicle. Successful applicants will be insured to drive our company vehicles as part of the role.

Working hours

The role involves morning and evening staff transport runs, with shifts generally taking place around:

Morning: approximately 6:00am/7:00am to 9:00am/10:00am

Evening: approximately 6:00pm/7:00pm to 9:00pm/10:00pm

Exact hours and routes will vary depending on staff shift patterns and operational requirements.

Working days are flexible, and we are looking for drivers who can provide availability across morning and/or evening runs.

Key responsibilities

• Safely transport care staff to and from their workplace.
• Collect and drop off staff at agreed locations.
• Ensure staff arrive safely and on time for their shifts.
• Drive company cars and vans responsibly and in accordance with road safety requirements.
• Maintain a professional, friendly and respectful manner when interacting with staff.
• Communicate promptly with management regarding delays, changes or transport issues.
• Keep company vehicles clean and report any vehicle faults or concerns promptly.
• Carry out basic vehicle checks when required.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence.
• Safe and responsible driving record.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional and respectful attitude.
• Comfortable driving company cars and vans.
• Ability to work early mornings and evenings.
• Previous experience as a professional driver or transporting passengers is desirable but not essential.

You do not need to own a vehicle. Company vehicles are provided and appropriate insurance will be arranged by the company for successful applicants.
