Responsibilities

• Safely operate delivery vans and commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes
• Load and unload cargo, often requiring heavy lifting and careful handling to prevent damage
• Verify delivery addresses, obtain signatures, and ensure all shipments are accounted for accurately
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, dispatchers, and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and reports for each trip
• Assist with warehouse tasks as needed, including organizing inventory and supporting logistical operations

Requirements

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or van driver with a strong understanding of commercial driving standards
• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type, with a clean driving record
• Experience in warehouse environments or handling heavy lifting is preferred
• Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with team members and customers
• Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS or maps, demonstrating strong route planning skills
• Physical ability to lift heavy packages safely and perform manual handling tasks when required
• Knowledge of traffic laws, safety procedures, and vehicle maintenance practices
