Position Overview

We are seeking dependable, professional, and compassionate drivers to provide safe and reliable Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services. Drivers will transport clients to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, dialysis treatments, hospitals, and other healthcare-related destinations.

This position requires candidates to provide their own vehicle, maintain a clean driving record, and demonstrate exceptional customer service skills when assisting passengers.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport clients to and from scheduled medical appointments.
• Arrive on time for all assigned trips and maintain reliable communication with dispatch.
• Provide courteous, professional, and respectful service to all passengers.
• Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate trip logs and required documentation.
• Keep vehicle clean, safe, and in good operating condition.
• Follow all company policies, state regulations, and NEMT industry standards.
• Report accidents, incidents, or passenger concerns immediately.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding client information.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable personal vehicle that meets company and insurance requirements.
• Current vehicle registration and proof of insurance.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to use a smartphone and transportation-related applications.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional appearance.

Vehicle Requirements

• Candidate must provide their own vehicle.
• Vehicle must be clean, safe, and mechanically sound.
• Vehicle must pass any required company inspection.
• Vehicle must maintain active registration and insurance coverage.

Selected candidates must be willing to complete all required NEMT-related training and certifications, which may include:

• Defensive Driving Certification
• Passenger Assistance and Safety Training (PASS)
• HIPAA Compliance Training
• CPR/First Aid Certification (if required)
• Any additional certifications required by state regulations, brokers, or company contracts

Pre-Employment Screening

Employment is contingent upon:

• Successful criminal background check
• Negative drug test results
• Verification of driver's license, insurance, and vehicle documentation
