Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) standards
• Navigate over the road (OTR) routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across multiple locations
• Load and unload cargo safely, utilizing manual handling techniques and equipment while ensuring proper logistics cargo handling procedures are followed
• Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before departure and upon return
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and compliance records in accordance with DOT regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, and any issues encountered during transit

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, dump trucks, and tractor-trailers
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently
• Experience with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and execution
• Strong physical ability for manual handling tasks involved in truck loading/unloading and cargo handling
• Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service

Pay: $26.02 - $31.33 per hour
