Every day, donated goods and essential materials need to get where they’re going. The driver helps make that happen. As a Driver at Father Joe’s Villages, you’ll safely operate company vehicles, complete pickup and delivery routes, and work directly with donors, customers, vendors, staff, and community partners. You’ll be trusted to manage your routes, respond to changing operational needs, handle materials safely, and represent Father Joe’s Villages with professionalism at every stop.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in being reliable, organized, safety-minded, and ready to jump in wherever the operation needs support.

The Role

• Safely operate company vehicles along assigned routes to pick up and deliver donated goods, merchandise, supplies, equipment, and other materials.
• Work directly with donors and other partners to evaluate donations according to the established guidelines, communicate what can be accepted, and handle materials carefully from pickup through delivery.
• Champion vehicle safety through comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections, promptly reporting any maintenance issues, and maintaining cleanliness and safety equipment readiness.
• Evaluate donated items according to established guidelines, communicate with donors about what can be accepted, and handle donations with care from pickup through delivery.
• Support warehouse, retail, and donation operations when transportation needs change, and work alongside your teammates to keep things moving.
• Plan and manage daily routes using GPS and other tools to complete pickups and deliveries efficiently and on schedule. Adjust plans as priorities, traffic, or unexpected needs change.
• Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding routes, pickups, deliveries, schedule changes, and other operational needs.
• Serve as a professional representative of Father Joe’s Villages when interacting with community members.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED
• At least two (2) years of experience operating delivery trucks, box trucks, commercial vehicles, or similar vehicles professionally.
• At least 3 years of licensed driving experience.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay for this position is based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity. The anticipated starting pay range is $22.00 - $25.30 per hour.
