Job Description: Driver for Adult Day Center

Position Title: Driver

Reports To: Transportation Coordinator/Program Manager

Job Summary: The Driver will be responsible for safely transporting clients with disabilities from their homes to the adult day center and back at the end of the day. This role requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to providing excellent service and ensuring the safety and comfort of clients during transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Transportation:

Safely transport clients with disabilities from their homes to the adult day center and return them home at the end of the day.

Assist clients in entering and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort.

Maintain a schedule to ensure timely arrivals and departures.

Vehicle Maintenance and Safety: If using our vechile

Perform routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.

Report any vehicle issues or maintenance needs to the Transportation Coordinator.

Ensure that the vehicle is clean and well-organized at all times.

Client Care:

Provide support to clients as needed, including assisting with seat belts and ensuring they are comfortably seated.

Offer a friendly and supportive demeanor, creating a positive experience for clients during their transportation.

Documentation:

Keep accurate records of transportation schedules, client pick-up and drop-off times, and any incidents or concerns.

Maintain confidentiality and handle all client information with care.

Compliance:

Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.

Follow organizational policies and procedures related to client transportation and safety.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience driving for a similar organization or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, families, and staff.

Ability to handle clients with patience, empathy, and professionalism.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to assist clients in and out of the vehicle.

Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance checks.

Working Conditions:

This position involves driving for extended periods and may require working in various weather conditions.

The role may include occasional lifting or physical assistance to clients.

Certain routes we have our business van should be utilized cause group sizes.

Pay: Up to $1,600.00 per month
