Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver

About the Position

Wellness Wagon LLC is looking for a dependable, compassionate, and professional NEMT Driver to transport patients safely to and from medical appointments, dialysis, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, and other healthcare-related destinations.

The ideal candidate is reliable, patient, respectful, and comfortable working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, and passengers who may need additional assistance.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport passengers to and from medical appointments and facilities
• Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle when needed
• Properly secure wheelchairs and passengers using required safety equipment
• Follow scheduled pickup and drop-off times
• Provide courteous and professional customer service
• Maintain a clean and safe vehicle
• Complete required trip documentation
• Communicate promptly with dispatch regarding delays, cancellations, or other issues
• Follow all company, safety, and NEMT procedures
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality

Requirements

• Valid Texas driver's license
• Clean and safe driving record
• Reliable transportation to the designated work area
• Ability to pass required background and driving record checks
• Ability to pass any required drug screening
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Professional appearance and communication
• Comfortable working with elderly, disabled, and medically vulnerable passengers
• Ability to safely assist passengers and handle wheelchair equipment
• Previous NEMT, medical transportation, caregiving, healthcare, or transportation experience is a plus but not required

Schedule
