Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Driver (Part Time 15 hours per week £12.92 per hour) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience in delivery operations, and the ability to manage logistical tasks efficiently. As a Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and promptly, supporting warehouse operations, and ensuring excellent communication with team members and clients.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various types of vehicles, including vans, to deliver goods to designated locations within specified timeframes.
• Load and unload cargo carefully, ensuring proper handling of items that may require heavy lifting or special precautions.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding schedules or issues.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance needs promptly.
• Assist with warehouse activities such as inventory management, stock replenishment, and organizing storage areas.
• Follow all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies during transportation activities.
• Support team efforts by providing excellent customer service and representing the company professionally at all times.

Experience

• Full Driving Licences with C1. D1 desirable
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or van driver within a commercial setting.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and handling heavy lifting tasks.
• Strong driving skills with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
• Ability to manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to vehicle operation and cargo handling is essential.
