Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight, including refrigerated trailers, hazardous materials, and various cargo types across designated routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route planning, and cargo handling will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all federal and state regulations. Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
• Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely delivery and pickup of freight across over-the-road (OTR) routes.
• Load and unload cargo safely, utilizing manual handling techniques and equipment to manage freight such as freight pallets, hazardous materials, or specialty goods like dangerous goods.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazmat-certified loads.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues, maintaining detailed logs in accordance with DOT standards.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route progress, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered during transportation.
• Maintain a clean driving record by adhering strictly to traffic laws and safety protocols while practicing safe driving habits on all types of roads and terrains.

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across various terrains.
• Prior experience handling freight in refrigerated trailer environments or with hazardous materials is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with truck loading and unloading procedures, including manual handling techniques for cargo safety.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the type of vehicle operated (e.g., Hazmat, Tanker).
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, hazard communication standards, and safety procedures related to truck driving and logistics cargo handling.
• Experience operating manual transmission trucks is a plus but not mandatory if training is provided.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
