Job Summary

Pulse Medi Care Hospital is looking for a responsible, reliable, and experienced Driver to support hospital transportation requirements. The candidate will be responsible for driving hospital vehicles safely, transporting staff and authorized passengers, assisting with hospital-related transportation duties, and ensuring that vehicles are maintained in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive hospital vehicles safely and responsibly according to traffic rules and regulations.
• Transport hospital staff, doctors, patients, and authorized passengers as required.
• Operate an ambulance only if appropriately licensed, trained, and authorized.
• Ensure timely transportation for hospital-related duties and appointments.
• Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned vehicle.
• Conduct routine vehicle checks, including fuel, tyres, brakes, lights, and essential equipment.
• Report vehicle defects, maintenance requirements, and accidents immediately to the supervisor.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, mileage, and trips.
• Ensure that vehicle documents, insurance, permits, and pollution certificates are valid, as applicable.
• Follow designated routes and use navigation tools when necessary.
• Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle when required and safe to do so.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding patient information and hospital activities.
• Follow hospital policies, road safety procedures, and instructions from management.
• Remain available for rotational shifts, emergency duties, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Perform other transportation-related duties assigned by hospital management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum qualification: 10th pass preferred.
• Valid driving licence appropriate for the assigned vehicle category.
• Previous driving experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of local roads, routes, and traffic regulations.
• Good driving skills and a strong commitment to road safety.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible, punctual, disciplined, and trustworthy.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and rotational shifts.
