Role Overview:

The Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transport of company personnel, specialized waterproofing materials, and equipment from our base in Airport Industria to various residential and commercial project sites. This role focuses primarily on vehicle operation, safe shipping, smart routing, and regular maintenance. Your high driving standards optimize company vehicle safety, efficiency, and punctuality, ensuring that our site operations launch seamlessly and on schedule every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport site crews and equipment safely and efficiently to and from various project sites
• Deliver specialized waterproofing materials (such as liquid membranes, torch-on rolls, and joint sealants), ensuring all cargo is securely loaded, strapped, and protected from transit damage.
• Plan optimal travel routes using GPS or maps to avoid traffic delays and ensure timely arrivals on site.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections (checking oil, water, tyre pressure, brakes, and lights) and report any mechanical faults or maintenance needs immediately.
• Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, organized, and presentable at all times as a representative of the company.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Valid South African Code B (Code 08) Driver’s License
• No criminal record, with an entirely clean driving record.
• Valid PrDP (Professional Driving Permit) is highly advantageous and preferred for transporting site staff.
• Proven professional driving experience, ideally within the construction, logistics, or trade services sector.
• Excellent knowledge of Cape Town roads and navigation apps.
• Strong reliability with a proven track record of exceptional punctuality and time management.
• Basic communication skills to coordinate effectively with the management team and site foremen.

Remuneration & Hours:

• Salary Range: R7000-R9000 per month
• Working Schedule: Monday to Friday, 06:30-17:00
• May have to work weekends if needed
• Work hours may vary depending on workload
