Job summary

Medessy Enterprise Limited is seeking an experienced, competent, and safety-conscious Trailer Driver to operate a 5-20tonne truck for the transportation and delivery of goods. The ideal candidate must have proven experience driving heavy-duty vehicles and demonstrate a strong commitment to road safety and company regulations.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate and maintain a 5-20tonne trailer truck.
• Transport and deliver goods to designated locations within and outside Lagos as required.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after every trip.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and proper handling of cargo.
• Comply with traffic regulations, road safety standards, and company policies.
• Report vehicle faults, accidents, and other incidents promptly.
• Maintain accurate trip records, delivery notes, and other required documentation.
• Keep the vehicle clean and in good working condition.

Requirements:

• Must have proven experience driving a 5-20tonne trailer truck.
• A minimum of 2 years' relevant driving experience is preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and the appropriate heavy-duty vehicle endorsements.
• Must have a valid certificate of professional competence or other required driving certifications, where applicable.
• Good knowledge of road safety rules and Ibadan/Oyo routes.
• Ability to conduct basic vehicle inspections and identify mechanical faults.
• Must be disciplined, punctual, reliable, and safety-conscious.
• Must be physically fit for the demands of the role.
