Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our logistics team. Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) driving routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules.
• Load and unload freight safely using manual handling techniques and proper equipment, ensuring cargo integrity during transit.
• Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations, maintaining safety at all times.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure compliance with safety standards; perform routine maintenance checks as needed.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and cargo manifests in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered during transit.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the vehicle type (e.g., hazmat, tanker).
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across long distances.
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, and tractor-trailers.
• Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including freight handling for logistics cargo handling.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely.
• Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving.
• Experience with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time tracking.
• Excellent manual handling skills for load & unload tasks; physically capable of managing freight safely.

Pay: $21.60 - $24.48 per hour
