Job Description:

The Class B Driver is responsible for the efficient, safe, and accurate transportation of Volt assets via company cars, vans, & 20’-28’ box trucks. This is a high visibility role with direct internal and external client interaction requiring great customer service skills and a safety first mindset. Key goals are safe operation of Volt vehicles to and from the facility to the assigned destination, safe loading and unloading of equipment, working a flexible schedule as needed, reporting all incidents and concerns to the Transportation Manager. This position is ideal for candidates with impeccable driving records, a fierce dedication to being on time, and a willingness to be a part of a team. This role reports directly to the Transportation Manager

Responsibilities

• Standard schedule is Thursday - Monday 8am - 5pm - Overtime as needed
• Drive a variety of company vehicles, including Teslas, pickup trucks, vans, stake-bed trucks, and 20' - 28' box trucks.
• Safely deliver stage lighting equipment to customers and job sites.
• Load and unload the vehicle, including items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Complete a daily truck inspection and report any issues.
• Handle equipment carefully and follow safe driving practices.

Requirements

• Valid Class B driver’s license
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Flexible schedule including availability for early mornings and late night runs.
• Experience with Google Suite & Slack for internal communication

Compensation Package:

• Pay Rate of 24-27/hr
• 40 hours paid time off.†
• 48 hours sick leave.†

401(k): You will be eligible to participate in Volt’s 401(k) Safe Harbor plan and a company

matching formula of 100% on the first 3% of compensation and 50% on the next 2% of

compensation. You can enroll after completing one full year of service.

Unused sick hours will go away at the end of year, with a new bank of 48 sick hours available

January 1. Any remaining vacation hours will be rolled over to the new year.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 per week
