Responsibilities

• Safely operate refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and tractor-trailers across over-the-road (OTR) routes while adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Navigate using GPS systems to ensure efficient routing and timely deliveries.
• Load, secure, unload, and inspect freight, including hazardous materials and dangerous goods, following hazardous materials regulations.
• Manage the transportation of automobiles and other cargo with precision in vehicle handling and logistics cargo handling procedures.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and cargo manifests in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate delivery schedules and route adjustments as needed.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across diverse terrains.
• Strong knowledge of truck loading and unloading techniques, manual handling, and freight security procedures.
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, tractor-trailers, and automobile transportation.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently while maintaining safety standards.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations and the safe transport of dangerous goods.
• Skilled in using GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning on over-the-road routes.
• Understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations to ensure compliance at all times.

Pay: $25.23 - $30.38 per hour
