Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, on over-the-road (OTR) routes and local deliveries
• Load and unload freight efficiently using manual handling techniques while ensuring cargo is secured according to logistics cargo handling standards
• Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and maintain schedule adherence
• Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and hazardous materials regulations for the transportation of dangerous goods
• Manage vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure compliance with safety standards and report any maintenance issues promptly
• Handle the transportation of automobile equipment or hazardous materials with precision and care, following all safety protocols
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Proven experience in delivery driving or truck driving, with familiarity in route driving across various terrains and environments
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the vehicle type (e.g., Hazmat, Tanker)
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck loading/unloading
• Experience operating trucks with manual transmission and manual handling skills for cargo management
• Ability to operate GPS navigation systems efficiently for route planning and adjustments during trips
• Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures for freight transportation including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous goods
• Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance in commercial driving environments

Pay: $25.71 - $30.96 per hour
