Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized trucks, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) driving routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules.
• Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo including hazardous materials and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations.
• Safely transport freight over long distances while maintaining adherence to DOT regulations regarding hours of service, vehicle maintenance, and safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with trucking standards.
• Manage the secure transportation of automobile transportation vehicles or other specialty cargo as required.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or safety concerns during transit.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation with a focus on route driving.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat), tanker, or other specialized loads preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazard communication standards, truck loading/unloading procedures, and safety protocols.
• Experience handling logistics cargo including freight management, manual handling skills, and truck loading/unloading techniques.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning.
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations related to driver hours of service and vehicle safety compliance.

Pay: $25.42 - $30.62 per hour

Expected hours: 21.0 – 35.0 per week
