We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers to transport freight across designated routes.
• Navigate using GPS systems and plan efficient routes for over-the-road (OTR) driving routes, ensuring timely deliveries.
• Load and unload cargo safely, utilizing manual handling techniques and following proper truck loading and unloading procedures.
• Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols related to the transportation of dangerous goods.
• Secure freight properly during transit to prevent shifting or damage, especially when handling hazardous or sensitive materials.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation with a focus on route driving.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the vehicle type (e.g., hazmat, tanker).
• Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks and handle manual loading/unloading processes efficiently.
• Knowledge of FMCSA, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving.
• Experience with refrigerated trailers or specialized equipment such as flatbeds or tankers is preferred.
• Strong navigation skills using GPS navigation systems; ability to plan optimal routes for over-the-road (OTR) journeys.
• Excellent manual handling skills with a focus on safe cargo handling and logistics cargo management.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards.

Pay: $24.72 - $29.77 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 32.0 per week
