Driver

Overview

Join our transportation team as a Driver and keep freight moving safely and reliably. You’ll operate commercial trucks on local delivery routes and over-the-road (OTR) driving routes, using GPS navigation to plan and follow assigned routes. Depending on the load and equipment, work may involve a tractor-trailer, refrigerated trailer, flatbed, or tanker.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial vehicles, including trucks and tractor-trailers, while following Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
• Complete delivery driving and route driving assignments; inspect vehicles and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Load and unload freight, secure cargo, and handle logistics cargo using safe manual handling practices.
• Transport automobile shipments or, when assigned, hazardous materials and dangerous goods in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Maintain delivery and trip records and communicate route or shipment issues promptly.

Experience

• Required: Commercial truck driving or delivery driver experience, a valid license and endorsements appropriate to assigned equipment and cargo, and the ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Required: Safe driving practices and the ability to load, unload, and handle freight.
• Preferred: Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, automobile transportation, or OTR routes.
• Preferred: Familiarity with GPS navigation, commercial driving, truck driving, hazmat, and hazardous materials regulations.

Pay: $24.12 - $29.05 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 32.0 per week
