Driver

Job Summary

Keep freight moving safely and reliably as a Driver. You’ll operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, on local delivery and over-the-road (OTR) routes. You’ll use GPS navigation, follow assigned routes, and handle cargo with care. Depending on the load and equipment, work may involve refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or automobile transportation. This role requires safe driving practices, attention to regulations, and readiness to load and unload freight.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial trucks and complete delivery driving and route driving assignments on schedule.
• Inspect vehicles and trailers, secure freight, and complete truck loading and unloading using safe manual handling practices.
• Use GPS navigation and route information to plan trips and communicate delivery updates.
• Follow Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including applicable hazardous materials and dangerous goods requirements.

Skills

• Required: Valid commercial driving qualifications for the assigned vehicle and routes; safe truck driving, delivery driver experience, and ability to operate a manual transmission where required.
• Required: Knowledge of commercial truck driving, tractor-trailer operation, freight logistics, cargo handling, and load securement.
• Preferred: Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or automobile transportation.
• Preferred: Hazmat (hazardous materials) experience and familiarity with hazardous materials regulations.
• Ability to perform manual handling and load and unload freight safely.

Pay: $25.23 - $30.38 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 35.0 per week
