Driver

Job Summary

As a Driver, you’ll move freight and other cargo safely and reliably, using route plans and GPS navigation to complete pickups and deliveries. This role may involve commercial truck driving, over-the-road (OTR) routes, and operating tractor-trailers with a manual transmission. Your impact: Careful driving and cargo handling help customers receive shipments safely and on schedule.

Duties

• Drive commercial vehicles on local and over-the-road routes, following assigned schedules and route guidance.
• Load, unload, and secure freight; perform manual handling and logistics cargo handling as needed.
• Transport cargo using appropriate equipment, which may include refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers.
• Handle automobile transportation and dangerous goods shipments only when assigned and authorized.
• Inspect vehicles and cargo, and follow Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and hazardous materials regulations.

Requirements

• Demonstrated truck driving, commercial driving, delivery driving, or route driving experience; delivery driver experience is preferred.
• Ability to operate a commercial truck and tractor-trailer, including a manual transmission, and safely load and unload cargo.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation, freight handling, and applicable FMCSA and DOT requirements.
• Hazmat (hazardous materials) qualifications are required for assigned hazardous materials or dangerous goods routes.
• Ability to handle physical tasks, including manual cargo handling; experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or automobile transportation is an asset.

Pay: $24.98 - $30.08 per hour
