Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Driver / Deliveries professional to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods, packages, and materials to various destinations while providing exceptional customer service. Your energetic approach and attention to safety will ensure timely deliveries and satisfied clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be the vital link between our operations and our customers, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery processes every day.

Driver and light moving - our WILMINGTON OFFICE $19.10 Light moving - always an 8 hour shift (6am to finish at 3 to 5 pm). Straight pay for the full 8 or 9 hours that you work (no deductions for breaks, lunch etc.

Must have transport to and from the Warehouse in WILMINGTON

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck or personal vehicle for delivery routes, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Load, unload, and secure cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as load & unload tools.
• Manage delivery routes efficiently using mobile devices for navigation and communication, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination.
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to maintain safety standards; report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Follow safe lifting practices during manual handling tasks involving heavy or bulky items, minimizing injury risk.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and inventory records as required for warehouse operations and compliance purposes.

Experience

• Prior experience in delivery driving or courier services is highly preferred, especially with box trucks or commercial vehicles.
• Demonstrated warehouse experience including material handling, moving supplies, or operating equipment like pallet jacks.
• Knowledge of driving regulations related to commercial truck driving and personal vehicle delivery.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is advantageous; ability to operate manual handling equipment safely is essential.
• Experience adhering to DOT regulations regarding weight handling in the workplace and safe driving practices.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively during deliveries.
• Proven ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper manual handling procedures.
