Driver (FAST START)

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver (FAST START) to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, to deliver goods efficiently and reliably. Duties

• Safely operate box trucks, personal vehicles, or commercial trucks to deliver goods across designated routes while adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Load and unload items using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment, ensuring safe lifting practices and weight management in the workplace.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to verify safety and compliance with DOT regulations before each journey.
• Manage delivery documentation accurately using mobile devices, including delivery manifests and route logs.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered during route driving.
• Assist with warehouse operations by moving inventory, organizing stock, and supporting manual handling tasks as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring timely deliveries, addressing customer inquiries professionally, and maintaining a courteous demeanor throughout interactions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in delivery driving or courier roles is highly preferred.
• Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., commercial driver’s license or personal vehicle license).
• Experience operating manual transmission vehicles and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks is desirable.
• Knowledge of safe lifting practices for heavy loads and manual handling techniques.
• Ability to adhere strictly to traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safety protocols during all driving activities.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage route schedules efficiently using mobile devices.
• Excellent communication skills coupled with a customer-focused attitude.

Pay: $26.38 - $36.57 per hour
