Driver Helper

Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Driver Helper and be a vital part of our delivery operations! In this energetic role, you'll assist professional drivers in safely loading, unloading, and delivering goods to customers.

Duties

• Assist drivers with loading and unloading packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and carts
• Help secure cargo properly in box trucks, vans, or other delivery vehicles to prevent damage during transit
• Conduct safe lifting practices when handling heavy or bulky items during warehouse operations and delivery tasks
• Use mobile devices to communicate with drivers, update delivery statuses, and document completed tasks
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to weight handling, manual transmission operation, and workplace safety standards

Skills

• Experience in commercial driving, including box truck or van driver roles, is a strong plus
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper techniques and manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks
• Proven delivery driver experience with a focus on route driving and customer service excellence
• Comfortable operating material handling equipment like pallet jacks and manual transmission vehicles
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with drivers and customers using mobile devices
• Ability to work efficiently in physically demanding environments involving moving, loading, unloading, and manual handling tasks

This position is paid and offers an engaging environment where your efforts directly contribute to customer satisfaction.

Pay: $24.63 - $29.46 per hour
