Driver (Non -CDL) Independent Contractor

ZoJay Logistics Group, Inc. is a growing freight and logistics company committed to safe, reliable, and on-time delivery service. We're looking for a dependable, independent contractor drivers to partner with us, operating a 26 ft box truck on interstate routes.

CONTRACT SUMMARY

ZoJay Logistics Group is seeking a Non- CDL driver to transport freight across state lines on assigned loads. The driver will operate under our authority as an independent contractor and should meet all load requirements, delivery windows, and FMCSA/DOT interstate compliance standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

● Operate a 26 ft box truck to transport freight on interstate routes as contracted per load

● Load, unload, and secure cargo properly to prevent damage or shifting in transit

● Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR)

● Maintain accurate delivery logs, bills of lading, mileage records, and hours-of-service (HOS) logs

● Communicate with dispatch regarding load acceptance, route status, delays, or issues

● Plan routes accounting for multi-state regulations, tolls, and fuel stops

● Ensure full compliance with FMCSA/DOT interstate regulations, including hours-of-service rules

● Provide professional service at pickup/delivery points

● Maintain the vehicle in safe operating condition and report any issues promptly

● Be available for multi-day trips as loads require, including overnight stays

QUALIFICATIONS

● Valid non-CDL Class C driver's license

● Current DOT medical certification (DOT physical)

● Clean driving record (MVR check required)

● At least 2 years of commercial/box truck driving experience

● Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and use hand trucks/dollies

● Working knowledge of FMCSA regulations and hours-of-service rules

● Pass a DOT drug/alcohol clearinghouse screening

● Willingness and ability to travel multi-state, including overnight/multi-day trips

● Must be at least 21 years old (required for interstate commerce under FMCSA rules)

PREFERRED

● Experience operating 26 ft box trucks specifically

● Experience running East Coast/Mid-Atlantic interstate lanes

● Clean driving record with no more than [2] points/violations in past 3 years

COMPENSATION

● Pay: 20–25% of each load's pay confirmation rate (rate determined per load, based on freight type, distance, and complexity)

● Settlement paid weekly

● Owner/Operator responsible for fuel, maintenance, and operating expenses unless otherwise specified

Pay: $1,000.00 - $5,000.00 per week
