Responsibilities

• Safely operate box trucks, commercial trucks, or personal vehicles to deliver goods to customers and business locations
• Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices
• Follow established routes and schedules, utilizing mobile devices for navigation and communication
• Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws during all driving activities
• Assist with warehouse operations including moving inventory, organizing storage areas, and managing warehouse equipment
• Provide excellent customer service by delivering packages promptly and professionally, addressing customer questions or concerns when needed
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle inspection reports, and safety documentation throughout each shift

Requirements

• Proven experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or commercial truck driving with a focus on manual handling and heavy lifting
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or commercial vehicles preferred
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and safe driving practices in various traffic conditions
• Ability to lift heavy loads safely while following OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards for weight handling in the workplace
• Experience with route driving using mobile devices or GPS systems to optimize delivery efficiency
• Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and driver safety standards
• Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude during all interactions
