Driver Operator Class 4 (Hydro Excavation)

We're looking for a Class 4 Driver Operator to join our West Auckland team, operating specialist hydro excavation and drainage equipment on critical wastewater, stormwater and civil infrastructure projects.

About the role
As a Driver Operator, you'll work alongside experienced crews delivering hydro excavation, drainage maintenance and civil support services throughout Auckland.
You'll operate a range of specialised vehicles and equipment while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and customer service.
Key responsibilities include:

• Operate Hydro Excavation, Combo and Recycler units
• Complete excavation and drainage works safely and efficiently
• Support maintenance and renewal projects across water infrastructure networks
• Conduct daily vehicle and equipment inspections
• Travel to project sites as required
• Participate in occasional night works when scheduled
• Work collaboratively with crews, supervisors and clients

About you
You'll bring:

• Full New Zealand Class 4 Driver Licence
• Strong commitment to health and safety
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work outdoors in a physically active role
• Reliable, self-motivated approach to work

Advantageous but not essential:

• Dangerous Goods endorsement
• Drainage, wastewater or civil construction experience
• Confined Space certification
• Experience operating vacuum excavation or combination units
