Due to continued growth, Torrens Chauffeurs is looking for reliable, friendly Private Hire / Taxi Drivers to join our team.

Please note: this is a Private Hire / Taxi role

Although our company is called Torrens Chauffeurs, this position is specifically for our regular taxi and private-hire work. It is not an executive chauffeur position.

You will undertake pre-booked passenger journeys, providing our customers with a safe, comfortable and reliable service, while maintaining the high standards of customer care that Torrens is known for.

This allows you to concentrate on driving and looking after our customers, without the costs and responsibilities associated with providing your own vehicle.

About you

• Reliable and punctual
• Friendly and approachable
• Comfortable dealing with a wide range of passengers
• Professional in their manner
• Good communicators
• Able to work independently
• Flexible and dependable in their availability

Previous taxi or private-hire experience would be an advantage, but is not essential for the right person.

Requirements

You will need:

• A full UK driving licence
• A clean and responsible driving record
• Ideally, you will live within 10 miles of Saxmundham, Suffolk, although we will consider candidates from further afield depending on their circumstances.
• A willingness to obtain an East Suffolk Private Hire Driver Badge, if you do not already hold one

Ideally, candidates will be able to fund the initial cost of obtaining their Private Hire Driver Badge themselves.
