Driver Recruiter + Safety Admin

Location: Alexandria, Alabama
Compensation: $50,000-$55,000; Salary based on experience
Experience: 2 years of driver recruiting experience OR an associate degree

About the Role

We are seeking an organized, motivated, and professional Driver Recruiter to join our administration team. This role is responsible for identifying, engaging, and screening qualified candidates while helping ensure a smooth transition from applicant to employee.

Working closely with fleet managers and management, the Driver Recruiter will coordinate the hiring process from initial outreach and candidate screening through interview scheduling and new-hire onboarding. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to recognize candidates who align with both our job requirements and company culture.

This role supports the Safety Department by maintaining spreadsheets, reviewing paperwork for errors or discrepancies, and identifying outliers that fall outside company standards. Acting as a first line of review, the Safety Admin helps ensure accurate documentation and allows the Safety Team to focus on safety, compliance, and prevention.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily recruiting activities and time effectively
• Maintain and professionally manage company recruiting accounts and online platforms, including Facebook, Indeed, Glassdoor, and Tenstreet.
• Communicate daily with management to understand hiring needs across all company locations.
• Proactively contact potential candidates by phone, text, email, online chat, social media, and other communication channels.
• Explain job opportunities, answer candidate questions, and screen applicants against established hiring criteria.
• Coordinate in-person interviews by working with hiring managers and scheduling interviews based on their availability.
• Maintain consistent follow-up and clear communication with candidates throughout the recruiting process.
• Evaluate candidates for qualifications, professionalism, and potential fit with company culture.
• Collaborate with fleet managers and location management to support a smooth onboarding and new-hire orientation process.
• Visit company locations to meet local management, understand staffing needs, and build working relationships.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• At least 2 years of driver recruiting experience or an associate degree.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional, friendly, and customer-focused approach to candidate interactions.
• Ability to solve problems and handle issues professionally.
• Experience managing multiple job boards, recruiting platforms, and social media accounts.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with management.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, and squat as needed throughout the workday.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and visit company locations as needed.

Work Location

This position is based in our office in Alexandria, Alabama. Occasional travel to other company locations may be required.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday; 7:30am-4pm
