DRIVER / SORTER

The Driver / Sorter is responsible for the efficient sorting, handling, loading, and safe transport of parcels and freight cargo across designated routes. This dual-role position ensures timely pick-up and delivery of goods while maintaining optimal package handling standards at the sorting hub/station.

Key Responsibilities
Sorting & Warehouse Operations

• Inbound & Outbound Sorting: Scan, categorize, and sort incoming and outgoing parcels/cargo based on destination codes, routes, or zip codes.
• Loading & Unloading: Safely load cargo into delivery vehicles according to delivery routes and unload inbound packages onto sorting belts or designated areas.
• Inspection & Quality Control: Check packages for damage, correct labeling, and accurate tracking details; report missing or damaged items immediately.
• Inventory & Staging: Organize parcels systematically within the hub to streamline dispatch processes.

Driving & Delivery Operations

• Safe Transportation: Transport cargo safely and punctually between hub stations, client locations, and designated drop-off points.
• Route Optimization: Plan efficient daily driving routes to ensure on-time pick-ups and deliveries while minimizing fuel usage.
• Proof of Delivery (POD): Obtain customer signatures, update delivery status electronically via mobile scanners or logistics apps, and manage cash-on-delivery (COD) collections if required.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (e.g., checking fluid levels, tire pressure, brakes). Keep the assigned vehicle clean and report mechanical issues promptly.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High school diploma, senior high school graduate, or equivalent.
• Licensure: Valid Professional Driver’s License with appropriate restriction codes (e.g., restriction 1, 2, 3 or code B, C, D depending on vehicle classification: van, light truck, or heavy cargo truck).
• Experience:
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a delivery driver, courier driver, or logistics sorter.
• Familiarity with local routes, express delivery networks, and traffic patterns.
• Technical Skills: Basic computer/smartphone literacy to operate handheld scanners and logistics/mobile delivery apps.
• Physical Capability: Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy boxes/cargo (up to 30 kg / 70 lbs) throughout shifts.
• Time Management: Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
• Attention to Detail: Accuracy in checking tracking numbers, package conditions, and customer information.
• Communication: Clear verbal communication skills for interacting with hub staff, supervisors, and clients.
• Work Environment: Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced warehouse environments and driving under varying weather/traffic conditions.

Pay: Php16,000.00 - Php22,000.00 per month
