Driver/Installer

Position Summary

The Appliance Installer is responsible for the delivery, installation, testing, and customer demonstration of household appliances including refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, microwaves, washers, dryers, and other home appliances. This position requires technical skills, attention to detail, safe work practices, and excellent customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver and install residential appliances safely and professionally.
• Remove and dispose of old appliances when required.
• Connect water, electrical, and gas appliances in accordance with manufacturer specifications and applicable codes.
• Verify proper operation and functionality of installed appliances.
• Educate customers on basic operation, features, and maintenance of appliances.
• Complete installation paperwork, photographs, and electronic documentation accurately.
• Inspect delivery vehicles, tools, and equipment daily.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance and represent the company in a positive manner.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and safe work practices.
• Report property damage, customer concerns, accidents, or installation issues immediately.
• Work collaboratively with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and management to ensure timely service.

Qualifications

• Previous appliance installation, delivery, logistics, construction, plumbing, electrical, or related experience preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid California Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Experience operating commercial box trucks and delivery vehicles preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic smartphone, tablet, and mobile application proficiency.

Requirements

• Valid California Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• Clean driving record and ability to operate company vehicles safely.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record review.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight travel as business needs require.
• Reliable transportation to and from the reporting location.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, dollies, hand trucks, lift gates, and other material-handling equipment.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and maneuver appliances weighing up to 150 pounds with team assistance and equipment.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and customer satisfaction.

Physical Demands

• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of heavy appliances.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, and reaching.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely enter and work within residential homes and construction sites.
