Driver/packer

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and motivated Driver/Packer to join our busy food manufacturing team.

The role involves working between two nearby sites, packing the van, transporting products safely from one site to the other, and supporting the day-to-day production and packing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Pack, load and unload the van, ensuring products are handled safely and securely.
• Drive between our two sites, which are only a few minutes apart.
• Assist with packing and handling food products in a busy manufacturing environment.
• Set up machinery and operate equipment to produce products in line with company requirements.
• Follow all processes, procedures and food hygiene standards accurately from start to finish.
• Carry out manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Work independently using your own initiative, while also contributing effectively as part of a team.

Essential Requirements

• A valid UK driving licence.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Ability to carry out regular manual handling and heavy lifting.
• A reliable, flexible and hardworking attitude.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to follow instructions and procedures carefully.
• A proactive approach to work, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be dependable, practical and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Previous experience in food production, packing or a similar role would be beneficial.
