Drivers (Class 1 to Class 5)

About the Role

We are seeking reliable, safety-focused Drivers holding Class 1, Class 2, Class 4, or Class 5 Licenses to join our busy transport and civil operations across Canterbury. Whether you are operating courier vans, flatbed trucks, heavy rigid tippers, or multi-axle truck and trailer units, we have immediate openings on long-term residential, commercial, and civil infrastructure projects throughout Christchurch and the wider region.

What You'll Be Doing

• Safely operating Class 1 through Class 5 vehicles across local, regional, and site-based transport routes
• Transporting, loading, and securing a variety of materials, heavy machinery, aggregates, or freight
• Performing pre-start vehicle inspections, routine maintenance checks, and reporting mechanical defects
• Operating associated attachments and gear safely (e.g., hiabs, tipping bodies, tail lifts, or WTR plant)
• Completing electronic/paper logbooks, delivery dockets, and site documentation accurately
• Following strict New Zealand road safety regulations, site-specific traffic rules, and load limits
• Collaborating with dispatch, site managers, loading crews, and civil operators to meet delivery schedules

What We’re Looking For

• Current NZ Driver’s License (Class 1, 2, 4, or 5) with a clean driving record
• Relevant endorsements such as F (Forklift), WTR (Wheels, Tracks, Rollers), or DG (Dangerous Goods) are highly advantageous
• Proven experience driving commercial vehicles, heavy rigids, or heavy combination vehicles in NZ
• Demonstrated understanding of logbook requirements, work time rules, and load securing standards
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety protocols
• Physically fit, punctual, and reliable with a solid work ethic
• Must have your own standard PPE (Steel-cap boots, Hi-Vis clothing)
