In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds,and dump trucks , to deliver heavy equipment or aggregate efficiently across various routes. Your expertise in logistics cargo handling, adherence to safety regulations, and commitment to excellent service will ensure timely deliveries and satisfied customers. Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial trucks with manual or automatic transmissions, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks and trailers.
• Deliver asphalt or stone on routes while adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Load and unload cargo with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring secure placement of hazardous materials when applicable.
• Use GPS navigation systems to follow optimized routes and ensure timely deliveries.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to maintain safety standards and report any issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and compliance with hazardous materials regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route changes, delivery statuses, or safety concerns.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving
• Knowledge of hauling stone or asphalt
• Familiarity with FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, and hazardous materials regulations for safe transport of dangerous goods.
• Ability to operate trucks with manual transmission and handle truck loading/unloading processes efficiently.
• Strong navigation skills using GPS systems for route planning and execution.
• Experience with automobile transportation or specialized cargo such as tanker loads or flatbed freight preferred.
• Excellent manual handling skills for safe load & unload activities in various environments.
• Commitment to safety standards related to truck driving, logistics cargo handling, and hazardous materials management.
