We are looking to recruit a reliable and hardworking Porter to join our London Depot in Colnbrook. This is an excellent opportunity offering stable weekday hours, long-term career prospects, and the opportunity to work on delivery and installation projects across the UK.

The Role

As a Porter, you will work alongside experienced drivers and installation teams, ensuring goods are delivered and installed safely, efficiently, and professionally. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role involving manual handling, heavy lifting, assembly work, and customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist drivers with deliveries and collections throughout the UK.
• Safely load and unload goods from vehicles.
• Deliver products into customers' homes, offices, and commercial premises.
• Assist with the assembly and installation of furniture, equipment, and other products.
• Remove packaging and leave customer premises clean and tidy following installations.
• Handle goods carefully to prevent damage during transportation and delivery.
• Carry out manual handling tasks using safe lifting techniques.
• Assist with delivery paperwork and route schedules where required.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude at all times.
• Occasionally stay away overnight when required by operational needs.

Requirements

Essential

• Valid DBS check.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling and heavy lifting.
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Desirable

• Previous experience in removals, furniture delivery, warehousing, logistics, installations, or a similar role.
