Driver/Shipping Attendant

Job Summary

Metals of Honor is looking for a Driver / Shipping & Warehouse Associate safely operates a various company trucks (Non-CDL), to deliver and/or pick up materials, parts, and finished products while supporting daily shipping, receiving, order preparation, and warehouse activities. This role requires a dependable, safety-focused employee who can protect company and customer property, maintain accurate shipping records, communicate delivery status, and handle materials carefully. Candidates must meet Metals of Honor, LLC’s driver-eligibility and auto-insurance requirements before operating a company vehicle.

Duties

· Operate the company trucks safely and professionally for scheduled deliveries, pickups, and other approved business trips.

· Meet all applicable driver licensing requirements and maintain a driving record acceptable to the company’s auto insurance carrier; promptly report any change that could affect driving eligibility.

· Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks as required, report defects or maintenance needs promptly, and keep the vehicle clean and orderly.

· Plan delivery routes and schedules, verify delivery and pickup details, and communicate delays, shortages, damage, or other issues to the supervisor.

· Secure, protect, and transport materials and finished goods to prevent shifting, damage, loss, or injury; follow safe loading, unloading, and material-handling practices.

· Pick, pack, label, stage, and verify customer orders against pick tickets, packing lists, and shipping instructions.

· Load and unload products, check quantities and identifying labels, and verify that shipments are ready before dispatch.

· Obtain and submit required delivery paperwork, signatures, receipts, and other shipment records accurately and on time.

· Assist with receiving incoming materials, checking shipments for visible damage or discrepancies, and reporting issues to the appropriate team member.

· Use pallet jacks, carts, and other approved material-handling equipment; operate a forklift only when trained, authorized, and appropriately certified as required by company policy and applicable rules.

· Maintain product identification and traceability, confirm rack or storage locations, and help keep inventory and shipping records accurate.

· Identify and segregate questionable or damaged product in accordance with company procedures; notify the supervisor and do not ship nonconforming product without authorization.

· Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow company safety, quality, housekeeping, and continuous-improvement practices.

· Work cooperatively with production, shipping, warehouse, and other departments to meet customer delivery commitments.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle being operated, with a driving record that meets company and insurance-carrier requirements.

· Must be approved/cleared under Metals of Honor, LLC’s driver qualification and auto-insurance process before driving a company vehicle (Pickup, Box Truck. 4500

· Ability to safely operate a box truck and follow traffic laws, company driving procedures, and delivery instructions.

· Dependable attendance, punctuality, sound judgment, attention to detail, and professional communication skills.

· Ability to read shipping documents, labels, basic instructions, and delivery information; complete paperwork accurately.

· Ability to use a smartphone, GPS/navigation, and basic computer or electronic recordkeeping tools as needed.

· Ability to safely perform the essential physical duties of the position, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.
