Driving Instructor

Driving Schools of Ohio is well known for safety and quality instruction and has been serving the families of the Akron, Columbus, Westerville, Big Walnut, and the surrounding Columbus area for over 20 years. You can SET YOUR OWN schedule of work hours (in advance) in 2-hour increments, we use a self-scheduling system through our website!

We have built our legacy by incorporating defensive driving techniques into our Instructor Training Programs. Driving Schools of Ohio is hiring Driving Instructors and providing training for multiple locations at Big Walnut and Westerville High schools.

**WE OFFER PAID TRAINING AND WE PAY FOR THE BCI & FBI REPORTS TO GET YOU LICENSED WITH THE STATE AS A DRIVING INSTRUCTOR.** YOU WILL TEACH IN OUR VEHICLES USING OUR GASOLINE AND INSURANCE.

We are currently training Full or Part-time BEHIND-THE WHEEL DRIVING INSTRUCTORS FOR ALL WESTERVILLE HS's & BIG WALNUT HIGH SCHOOL.

This does make a great career, and you are helping the teens in your community be the most skillful and safest drivers.

Prior teaching or coaching experience is helpful, but not required!

WE will train YOU and license YOU to teach!!

Qualifications: Held a driver’s license for 10 years or more and can have only 1 ticket or less in the past 5 years!

Driving Instructor Job Description:

_____Teach behind-the-wheel lessons using the state required lesson plans we have created for you!

_____You will mainly be teaching teenagers and some adult students in the driver training vehicle.

_____Flexible schedule is set in advance using our 24/7 Student “SELF SCHEDULING” software. Students schedule their own appointments into your Instructor portal hours available.*** It is so easy to use! Cancellations and technology updates in real-time!

_____You can check for cancellations before leaving for the student’s appointment!

_____Electronically submit all state and company required documents and scoring sheets!

_____Follow and adhere to all company policies and procedures and state records.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
