Driving Instructor

Driving Schools of Ohio is well known for safety and quality instruction and has been serving the families of the Akron, Columbus, & Mt. Vernon Education Center, and the surrounding Columbus areas for over 20 years.

We have built our legacy by incorporating defensive driving techniques into our Instructor Training Programs. Driving Schools of Ohio is hiring Teen Driver Education Classroom Instructors and providing PAID training to be the certification to teach teens.

It only takes 42 hours to get your Instructor's license and some of the training hours you may take online at your own pace and at your convenience!

The teen driver education classes are held in the evenings after 4 or 5 pm and we are flexible on when to start and end these classes so ask about the flexible schedule.

We are currently training Part-time CLASSROOM ONLY INSTRUCTORS. This does make a great part time around another career for extra money and helping the teens in your community be the most skillful and safest drivers.

Prior teaching or coaching experience is helpful, but not required!

WE will train YOU and license YOU to teach!!

Qualifications: Held a driver’s license for 5 years or more and can have only 1 ticket or less in the past 5 years! We will pay for the BCI & FBI background checks & we have PAID Training to get your Instructor's License in Ohio!

Driving Instructor Job Description:

_____Teach behind-the-wheel lessons using the state required lesson plans we have created for you!

_____You will be teaching teenagers in a classroom setting using a power point presentation with the videos embedded into the programed course. You are the talent and you make the material come alive while keeping the students engaged.

_____Flexible schedule is set in advance using our 24/7 Student “SELF SCHEDULING” software. Students schedule their own appointments into your Instructor portal hours available.*** It is so easy to use! Cancellations and technology updates in real-time!

_____You can check for cancellations before leaving for the student’s appointment!

_____Electronically submit all state and company required documents and scoring sheets.

_____Follow and adhere to all company policies and procedures and state records.
