What they need

About the job

Build, test, and repair the industrial drones we design ourselves. Every Nolvis M1 that ships to a customer passes through your hands — and as a founding member of our Dallas team, you'll help set the standard for how it's done.

Why this role

  • Work on a real industrial drone — flight controllers, GNSS/RTK, radio links, batteries, and payloads
  • Start with assembly and testing, and grow into troubleshooting and repair as you gain experience
  • Help improve our checklists and work instructions based on what you see on the floor
  • Join as a founding member of our U.S. team and grow as we scale

What you'll do

  • Perform final assembly of the M1 at our Dallas facility
  • Run pre-shipment inspections: visual checks, continuity testing, flight tests, and post-flight data review
  • Replace faulty modules following our repair procedures
  • Log defects and report them clearly to our engineering team, with photos and logs
  • Manage spare parts inventory
  • Suggest improvements to our checklists and work instructions

What you need

  • Hands-on soldering of wires and connectors — you’ll show us in a short bench test
  • Basic use of a multimeter (voltage, resistance, continuity) and a bench power supply
  • Experience assembling products with hand tools, following written work instructions
  • Comfort working with your hands every day
  • Fluent English, including clear written reports
  • Able to work independently, without a technical supervisor on site
  • Willing to obtain FAA Part 107 certification after joining

Nice to Have

[Electronics and rework]

  • SMD soldering and rework, crimping, wire harnessing, and connector work
  • Reading schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and BOMs
  • Using an oscilloscope
  • ESD-safe work practices
  • Deep knowledge of electronics and circuits, including power electronics and analog/digital circuits

[Diagnostics and mechanical]

  • Systematic fault isolation — from a system-level symptom down to the failed module or component
  • Mechanical assembly: torque specs, fasteners, threadlocker, and cable routing

[Drone systems]

  • Drone subsystems: brushless motors and ESCs, flight controllers, GNSS/RTK, IMU and compass calibration, radio links and antennas
  • Lithium battery handling, charging, and battery management systems (BMS)
  • Flashing firmware, configuring parameters, and reading flight logs
  • Drone or RC aircraft experience
  • FAA Part 107 certification

[Background]

  • Aviation maintenance, military maintenance, or electronics manufacturing

What matters most

Above all, we're looking for a drive to learn.
We care more about how quickly you pick things up than about checking every box above.

Location & eligibility

  • This role is fully on-site at our Dallas, TX office. You must be able to commute to the office daily. Remote or hybrid work is not available.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Our hiring process

Our hiring process typically includes:

  • A 30-minute initial video interview
  • An in-person interview at our Dallas office, including a short hands-on bench test
  • Additional follow-up discussions if needed

About Nolvis

Nolvis designs and builds its own industrial drones for surveying, mapping, and inspection.
We are in the startup phase of our U.S. operations in Dallas, and everyone who joins now is a founding member of the team.
That means broad ownership and problems no one has solved for you yet. It is a challenge — and the fastest place to grow.
