WE'RE HIRING | DRONE ENGINEER

Location: Hanoi, Vietnam

DDE Vietnam is looking for a hands-on Drone Engineer who enjoys building, flying, testing, and continuously improving drone systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assemble and build multirotor and VTOL drone platforms.

• Perform PID tuning and flight parameter optimization using PX4 or ArduPilot.

• Conduct maiden and test flights, analyze flight logs, and improve flight performance.

• Troubleshoot hardware and electrical systems.

• Configure and optimize propulsion systems, including batteries, motors, ESCs, and propellers.

• Integrate payloads and manage weight distribution, center of gravity, and vibration.

• Operate drones in different environments, including RF and LTE communication conditions.

• Collaborate with international team members on technical projects.

REQUIREMENTS

• Hands-on experience in drone assembly, building, tuning, and flight operations.

• Knowledge of PID control and flight controller tuning.

• Experience with PX4 or ArduPilot.

• Ability to pilot drones, including manual flight.

• Basic electrical work skills, including wiring and soldering.

• Technical English communication skills for international collaboration.

• A drone pilot certificate/license relevant to the role.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with multirotor, fixed-wing, or VTOL platforms.

• Familiarity with Mission Planner or QGroundControl.

• Experience in drone-related projects or R&D.

• 3D CAD and mechanical design skills, such as Fusion 360 or SolidWorks.

• Experience with RF, communication modules, or sensors such as GPS and IMU.

• Drone maintenance and hardware development experience.

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel internationally.
