Drone Engineer

We are looking for someone who can build a working drone from scratch, troubleshoot hardware, and understand the software and systems used in commercial drones.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and assemble drones from scratch, including:
• Flight controller
• Motors & ESCs
• Propellers
• GPS
• Radio/receiver systems
• Power and battery systems
• Sensors and other electronic components
• Configure and calibrate flight controllers and other drone electronics.
• Diagnose and repair drone PCBs, wiring, motors, ESCs and electronic components.
• Troubleshoot drone hardware and software issues.
• Understand drone firmware, configuration and flight-control systems.
• Work with branded drones and understand their software ecosystem, especially DJI and similar platforms.
• Learn and document common DJI drone faults, diagnostics, calibration and repair procedures.
• Research drone components, electronics and repair techniques.
• Develop practical repair guides and training material for RMM.
• Assist the RMM training team in developing Drone Repair & Maintenance courses.
• Demonstrate repair and troubleshooting procedures to students.

Must Have

• Hands-on experience building a drone from scratch.
• Good understanding of drone electronics and flight-control systems.
• Practical experience with soldering, PCB work and electronic tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot electronic and hardware problems.
• Understanding of drone firmware/software and configuration.
• Familiarity with DJI drones and their software/app ecosystem is highly preferred.
• Strong interest in drone technology, repair and electronics.
• Ability and willingness to teach and explain technical concepts to others.

Preferred Background

• B.Tech / Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Robotics, Aerospace, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems or related fields.
• Students with strong practical drone-building experience are also encouraged to apply.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
